• Lead/coordinate/support the company's business development and investment activities in China relating to renewables and environmental services (may at times support regional cross-border transactions and non-environmental deals)
• Develop and leverage on relationships with entrepreneurs, contacts in professional firms and major institutions and corporations in order to source investment opportunities;
• Analyze and pre-screen attractive investment opportunities through extensive research, expert interviews as well as proactively tapping contacts with key institutions and corporations;
• Work with other investment professionals within the company in order to evaluate potential investments, including conducting commercial due diligence, performing financial analysis, and helping developing and refining preliminary investment theses and strategies;
• Prepare initial investment proposals and presentations to target companies and help with deal negotiation and execution;
• Lead/coordinate the internal investment process, including preparing presentations, drafting investment memos, building financial models, etc.;
• As appropriate, help devise innovative ways of structuring investment opportunities that are in line with the firm's strategy and investment profile.

• Business level (written and verbal) fluency in Putonghua and professional proficiency in written and verbal English is required;
• At least 6 years of commercial experience, including 3 years in an international or leading local private equity/direct investment/ international investment bank in China;
• Some international professional experience in a major international market outside of China (e.g., New York, Hong Kong, London, etc.) a strong plus;
• Proven professional experience, judgment, credibility and confidence to initiate contact and lead/manage initial rounds of discussions/meetings with owners/management of target companies;
• High intelligence with an analytical and flexible mind, as evidenced by mental quickness and a first-rate educational background from leading Chinese or international universities. An international advanced degree will be considered a plus, but not a requirement;
• Strong strategic and financial analytical skills with proven project/deal management experience (experience in conducting investment due diligence in China a plus);
• Independent, strong entrepreneurial drive with the drive/ability to make things happen. We are looking for someone who is a team player yet is a self-starter and capable of taking the initiative on due diligence assignments and complex transactions;
• Able to work, and feel comfortable working in a small and entrepreneurial office;
• Possesses the highest level of ethics and integrity.
